ICYCW participated in the International Conference on the theme “Religions and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
Listening to the cry of the earth and of the poor”, Promoted by the Department for the Integral Human Development Service and by the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, which was held in the Vatican, at the New Synod Hall, from Thursday 7 to Saturday 9 March 2019.
The Future of Work and Labour after Laudato Si held in West AFrica
AGEPC- West Africa Regional Seminar was held on the theme “The Future of Work and Labour after Laudato Si” in Cape Verde from 7-9 May 2019. The meeting was organized by UNIAPAC and ICYCW was represented by West African National Movement delegates from Senegal, Ivory Coast, Benin, Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Guinea Conakry.

The survey is an opportunity to get to know new young people and to deepen our relationship with those that we know in a superficial way. It is an oppotunity to discover what the other person is experiencing with regard to work, not only the conditions or salary but also the meaning that the experience of work has for young people. It means going right to the origins of the YCW when cardijn, still a young priest, asked the young people in the street “how are you getting on at work? what are the conditions like?
Visit to YCW Portugal
The IS president joined with Marc the chairperson of the European Commission visited YCW Portugal on 23rd december 2018. There was sharing of ideas ond realities on both ICYCW and YCW portugal.
Reunion of European Militant training and exchange program
After two years of preparation, the REM (Reunion of European Militant) training and exchange program officially will start today the 26th July 2019. The participants are JOC Spain and Catalonia, Italy, England and Wales,France, CIJOC, Portugal and other invited guests arrived in Porto (at the venue) safely. CIJOC-ICYCW International Survey on Young People and Work in a Globalised World
Origin of the Project
In May 2003, during a meeting of ICYCW International Chaplains - past and present – the lack of visibility of the ICYCW at international level was noted. From this came the idea of launching a big international survey on young workers.
YCW EAST AFRICAN REGION TRAINS CHAPLAINS
In an effort to contribute towards an effective and efficient integral youth ministry in East Africa region, ICYCW and AMECEA organized a regional training for chaplains and lay adult companions. The training took place at Kurasini training Centre, Dar es salaam- Tanzania from 21-25 October 2019. The following were the objectives:
34th World Youth day
The 34th World Youth day was held in Panama from 22-27of January 2019. ICYCW participated as an international volunteer.
Alot of sharing among the young people was done, this gave ICYCW opportunity to get in touch with the young people around the world, thus this will help ICYCW in their future works of envangeliastaion to the young people around the whole world.
